You can use an xbox controller with it, but I'm of the mind that if you aren't using a wheel, there's no point, but that is just my personal preference.

Yes, it's worth it. Keep in mind that this is a simulator, but they say it's entirely playable with a gamepad.

Totally worth it. Showed me how much I suck at driving. Updates are coming, with more cars and tracks (this is early access), but its totally worth it.
